Maxi Moka Bialetti: XXL espresso

The maxi Moka project was realised on the occasion of the opening of the new Starbucks flagship store in Rome, in collaboration with Bialetti. For this realisation, the proportions of the classic Bialetti Moka were carefully studied, developing a 3D drawing for the realisation of the wooden structure.

Once the wooden framework was created, the handle and knob were made and proportioned, and shaped in polystyrene. Subsequently, to ensure rigidity and durability, they were resin-coated with several layers of product, thus preparing them for painting.

The customisation of the Moka was achieved through glossy lacquering for the body and matt lacquering for the handle and knob, for an elegant visual effect. It was enriched with ad hoc vinyls applied by experienced professionals, which further enhanced the design.

With an imposing height of 130 cm, this giant Moka imposes itself as the central element in the window of the new Starbucks store in Rome, lending a distinctive and scenic touch to the setting.
